| AD3E+C is required for the development and overall health in horses, plays a key role in the development and maintenance of bones and connective tissue. Vitamin A in combination with Vitamin D3, is vital for the proper functioning of osteoclasts, which are responsible for resorption and remodeling of bone. Vitamin A is necessary for the synthesis of collagen and crosslinking, so it is important for the strength of the tendons and ligaments. Retinoic acid, one of the active forms of vitamin A in the body, can synergize with thyroid hormone or glucocorticoid to enhance the secretion of growth hormone. Growth hormone has been shown experimentally to enhance the healing process in soft tissue injuries. |
